Whitsunday Regional Council, Airport Operations Manager Tony Schulz is reminding anyone who
has used the Whitsunday Coast Airport recently that lost property can be claimed at the airport.
Mr Schulz said in recent months we have accumulated a large amount of lost property at the
Whitsunday Coast Airport.
“The influx of lost property may be due to the busy Christmas period or it may be because people are not aware that they can ring the airport to check if their lost item has been handed in,” Mr Schulz said.
“Along with the usual lost items like suitcases, clothing and sunglasses, in the last few month’s
travellers have left a number of large items such as a skateboard, football, baby stroller and a tent.
“Anyone who thinks they may have misplaced an item at the airport is encouraged to contact the
airports lost property number on 0417 762 235.
“Enquiries about property lost on a plane should be directed to the airline carrier flown with; all
other enquiries can be made through the airport number.
“Collection arrangements can also be made at the airport,” he said.
