Jody Allen, founder of the Stay At Home Mum (SAHM) website, will visit the Whitsunday Regional
Libraries on 10 and 11 September to talk about her book ‘Live Well for Less: A practical guide to
running a lean household’.
Jody started the website ‘Stay at Home Mum’ to share her money-saving experiences while her
family lived on one wage and it was her everyday advice and content that resonated with readers Australia wide.
‘SAHM’ is now one of Australia’s largest parenting websites and currently records the largest
community of mothers on Facebook.
Members of the public are invited to come along to the free events and hear Jody share tips and
hints on living simply, covering topics such as household budgeting; money saving deals; spring
cleaning finances and cost cutting (but delicious) recipes.
All interested members of the public are welcome to attend with talks geared for anyone that would like to save money or manage their household finances more effectively.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said that the author talks are a fantastic community engagement
opportunity.
