Whitsunday Regional Libraries will conduct ‘Getting to know your e-Library’ workshops across theregion as part of Library and Information Week.
Mayor Jenny Whitney would like to encourage library members and the general public to takeadvantage of this great opportunity to learn how to use the ‘e-Library’ to access a range ofinformation and services.
“The e-Library allows members to keep up to date with library events and activities as well as how to access the e-library 24/7 from the comfort of their homes,” Mayor Whitney said.
“Users of this service will have the ability to search, renew and reserve library items and alsosuggest items for future purchase,” she said.
“The workshops will also include an overview of e-books, e-magazines & e-learning availablethrough the e-library.”
Mayor Whitney recommends people interested in attending contact their local branch library andbook early, as places are limited.

Bookings are essential (Maximum 10 people per workshop). Laptops are provided howeverparticipants are welcome to bring their own laptop or other internet enabled device. Members are also asked to bring their library membership card plus online login details if known.
