Whitsunday Regional Council is urging local artists and community groups to apply for up to $30,000 in funding through the Regional Arts Fund (RAF), a new funding initiative from Artslink Queensland.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said local arts and community groups could receive between $5,000 and $30,000 for their arts projects from the Regional Arts Fund (RAF) through Artslink Queensland.
“Round one applications for the Community Project Grants are now open and close on Monday 16 March 2015 for projects commencing after 1 August 2015,” Mayor Whitney said.
“Applications from regional communities that have a great project idea, unique artistic strengths and can contribute to regional development, sustainable arts practice, prosperity and well-being will be highly regarded.
“Locals are urged to gather together artists, organisers and community champions at a local forum to gather ideas for a strong arts project that will engage and inspire residents in our community,” she said.
