Throughout June, Whitsunday Regional Council is running free basic internet workshops at the
Proserpine Library.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said the courses are designed for beginners and those that would like to
improve their confidence in using the internet.
“These free classes are a great opportunity for anyone interested in increasing their internet skills and gaining some useful tips,” Mayor Whitney said.
“The classes will be run in small groups and those interested in attending should contact the library to book,” she said.
Friday 13th June 10.30 am—12 pm
Internet 1— Learn about the World Wide Web, web addresses, navigating and searching the
internet
Thursday 19th June 10.30 am - 12 pm
Internet 2— Using and creating hyperlinks, more searching, adding favourites, tips and tricks
Friday 27th June 10.30 am - 12 pm
Internet 3—Downloading files, different types of files, creating home page, listening to
music, advanced searching
