Whitsunday Regional Council is hosting an exhibition of artwork by local artist Wendy Erikssenfrom 30th April to 8th May at the Beach library, in Cannonvale.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said Wendy’s art exhibition will culminate in a book launch for her first learn to paint book, How did you paint that? - Learn to paint - Fish Feeding.
“All are welcome to attend the book launch and bookings are not required, morning tea will beprovided and Wendy will also conduct a free art demonstration,” Mayor Whitney said.
“Anyone interested in painting should come along to the Beach library from 10.30am nextThursday for a morning of art fun and learning.
“Wendy Eriksson is a multi-award winning Australian contemporary artist, with a bright, light, freeand fun style.
“She is an experimental, intuitive artist, who is constantly exploring and testing the way she paints and how she approaches her subjects.
“This is Wendy’s first book and it is designed so you can follow her every step of the way, as shecreates the painting entitled, "Fish Feeding".
“The book is suitable for complete beginners all the way through to advanced artists, so Iencourage anyone interested in learning more about art to come along and attend the book launch next Thursday,” she said.
