Residents in the Cannonvale and Airlie Beach area will once again have access to Wi-Fi services at their local library in Cannonvale.
Mayor Andrew Willcox said that the Cannonvale Library was reopened with basic services in July after Tropical Cyclone Debbie damaged the building and contents.
“Slowly but surely our library services are returning to normal thanks to our hard working Library and Information Technology Teams,” Mayor Willcox said.
“Commencing immediately, library members and Queensland residents can access Wi-Fi for free for one hour per day and a small charge applies for anyone else wishing to use the service,” he said.
“I’m very appreciative to all of our residents who have been patient while we undertake repair works, particularly given our libraries are an important point of social interaction and learning.”
The Cannonvale Library is open to the general public Monday to Friday 8:15am to 4:45pm and on Saturday between 8:45am and 11:45am.
