Tourism Whitsundays provides our Business Events members with business leads and markets the Whitsundays to targeted international and national corporate organisations as a potential destination for conferences and incentive business travel. 

Whitsundays Destination Tourism Strategy 2014 - 2020

The Destination Tourism Plan (DTP) provides the framework to guide tourism industry development in the Whitsundays and aims to achieve its vision that 'by 2020 the Whitsundays will be globally recognised as one of the world's leading tropical island and marine leisure holiday destinations.'

The DTP was prepared by Tourism and Events Queensland, Tourism Whitsundays and Whitsunday Regional Council, in consultation with local industry. It outlines 6 key themes for tourism development and 12 key strategies:

Bowen Tourism and Business is a not for profit organisation whose main role is to promote and showcase the Bowen and Collinsville and surrounds. Their mission is to provide professional information and advice to visitors whilst promoting the local region and businesses within.

Bowen Tourism and Business operates two Information Centres in Bowen and one in Collinsville. The Bowen Visitor Information Centre on the Bruce Highway south of Bowen is the main centre. About 40,000 visitors stop at the busy Information Centre next to the Big Mango every year.

Bowen Tourism & Business represents not only tourism operators in Bowen, but also various businesses and organisations throughout the region.
