When are my Rates Due?
A rate notice is issued each six months in the Whitsunday region, in approximately August and February.
Rates are due and payable thirty (30) days after the date of issue of your notice. The due date will be detailed on the rate notice.
A discount of 5% is available on the current rates on full settlement of all rates and charges (including any arrears and interest) if received within thirty (30) days from the date of issue of the rate notice. For the discount to apply, Council must receive your payment by the close of business of 5pm on the due day. If payment is to be made through any of Council's agencies (Australia Post, telephone, internet or Bpay) please allow 24 hours for the transfer of funds to Council.
